Welcome to where I'll be posting my logos. I will post old logos as I dig them up and get them scanned, and post new ones whenever I make any.

Inanimate

I think Inanimate was an earlier incarnation of Khem? Not too sure. I remember they were from Sweden and never really did anything before changing name.

Sketched with pencil, inked with black Artline (0.5) marker, touched up on PC.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

Xombie

Yet another high school project of mine. Another friend and I wanted to play some cybergrind after having listened to a lot of S.M.E.S., Urine Festival and the likes. Turns out we had no idea what we were doing, who'd a thunk! We made something ...

Zerberus

A logo I did for my own screenname that I used at the time. This is a pretty early logo as I recall. Probably 2008.

Made with pencil, touched up on PC.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

Warhound

The Cobra project mentioned in an earlier post ended up being Warhound. The logo looks a lot harder than the music was. I stayed with the band for a long time when I was young, but we never got anywhere so I quit after some years.

We were heavily ...

The Crypt Behind the Throne

A logo made for a fictitious band. I was heavily into Celtic Frost at the time of making this, and I wanted to make something mysterious but evil and black metal inspired. I also really like symmetry. Done in 2010.

Sketched with pencil, inked with black Artline (0.5) marker, touched up on PC.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

Stalk

Logo made for a fictitious band in the style of Frightmare. Very horror inspired! Done sometime in 2011.

Sketched with pencil, inked with black ball-point pen, touched up on PC.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

Stonsdorf

Another high school project between a friend and I. We wanted to play some black metal, but we weren't really serious and we never got around to actually writing any music at all. But we had a great time taking stupid pictures and drinking the ...

Sort Skimmel

A friend commissioned me to do this logo for his would-be black metal project. Obviously it never amounted to anything... Are you reading this, Kramer the Kunt? Haha!

Sketched with pencil, inked with black Artline (0.5) marker, touched up on PC.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

Sortenraun

A logo made for a fictitious band. Conceptually it's sort of folky, pagany, vikingesque. Done in 2010.

Sketched with pencil, inked with black Artline (0.5) marker, touched up on PC.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

Slay the Shepherd

I joined this band on bass some time in 2011 after they had released an EP. Sort of a groove metal affair. They asked if I could do a logo, but this was the best I could come up with. We ended up changing our name to Rapid Dominance and recording ...

Rotten Fetus

Logo made for a death metal band from Aalborg, Denmark. They never amounted to anything as far as I know, but the lead singer ended up starting another death metal outfit named Hatred Conspiracy, for which I also did a logo, albeit in a very ...

Releasing the Aggression

A logo I did for a fictitious band. Trying out a raw, abrasive style, sort of inspired by some hard- and grindcore bands.
Done in 2009, I think.

Sketched with pencil, inked with black Artline (0.5) marker, touched up on PC.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

Ragnogroth

A logo I did for a friend and fellow death metal maniac to use with his screenname. Heavily inspired by bands like Impetigo, Lord Gore and Blood Freak.

Sketched with pencil, inked with black Artline (0.2) marker, touched up on PC.

An earlier ...

Nebulous

A logo I did for a technical death metal band I played in for a brief time. We folded pretty quickly after settling on the name Nebulous instead of Paroxysm of Fear. We played a cover of Decapitated's Spheres of Madness but never really wrote any ...

Paroxysm of Fear

Nox

Logo made for fictitious band in depressive black metal style. At the time I was listening to a lot of Shining, Xasthur and Nortt. Initially I wanted to create one-man bedroom black metal, but I scrapped the idea once I realised I had no talent. ...

Necropsy

Logo made for a fictitious band. Apparently there are several bands by the name of Necropsy. The style is grindy death metal with a hint of Inepsy. Done in 2009.

Sketched with pencil, inked with black Artline (0.5) marker, touched up on PC.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

-Jakob Goul

Narcolepsy

Logo made for a fictitious band in brutal death metal style. Admittedly, narcolepsy isn't a very brutal condition. Unless it's coupled with sleep-walking and murderous tendencies. Done in 2008.

Sketched with pencil, inked with black Artline (0.5) marker, touched up on PC.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

-Jakob Goul

Mutator

Logo for a fictitious band in traditional toxic thrash metal styled lettering. I've been thinking about revisiting this design using a more natural, organic approach which I think would suit the style better.
Made some time in 2010, probably.

A cheesy "gift" for my girlfriend Louise. Yeah, I know. I'm a real catch! Practically swimming in women. Made some time in 2009.

Sketched with pencil, inked with black marker, touched up on PC.

Khem

Logo for Swedish death metal band Khem. I don't think they ever used it, and as I recall they ended up changing their name before doing anything.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

Cobra

Logo cooked up for a potential project some time in 2008 or 2009. We ended up deciding on another name for obvious reasons. I had the idea that we'd be focused on something super 80's pure heavy kinda stuff.

Sketched with pencil, inked with black Artline (0.5) marker, touched up on PC.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

Cerebral Execution

Logo made for a fictitious band in brutal death metal style. Similar in style to my Abnormal Deformity logo. Made sometime in 2009/2010 perhaps.

Feel free to comment on technique and design below.

Logo made for a fictitious band in a raw death metal style with a little heap-o-twigs thrown in for good measure. Probably one of my first logos, perhaps made some time in 2007?
